About Ross
I’m a father, husband, and dedicated environmentalist. I’m running for Council to ensure a safer, greener, more affordable Berkeley.
I was born and raised in Southern California, but fell in love with Berkeley when visiting as an undergrad. I somehow always knew I’d end up in Berkeley—even though it took close to ten years, I was fortunate to be able to move here during the pandemic, meet my wife, and buy a home.
I’ve spent the past fifteen years leading environmental efforts in both non-profit and for-profit organizations, helping to preserve and restore hundreds of thousands of acres of forests and wildlife habitats around the world. I served on the Sierra Club Executive Committee (Northern Alameda County Group), helping to support local environmental policies. Now, I’m running for City Council to help continue Berkeley’s progress.
As Councilmember, I will:
Champion smoother, safer streets
Fight for more housing to bring down the cost of living and address homelessness
Support our first responders
Enhance our parks and public spaces
Promote responsible fiscal stewardship
