About Ross

I’m a father, husband, and dedicated environmentalist. I’m running for Council to ensure a safer, greener, more affordable Berkeley.

I was born and raised in Southern California, but fell in love with Berkeley when visiting as an undergrad. I somehow always knew I’d end up in Berkeley—even though it took close to ten years, I was fortunate to be able to move here during the pandemic, meet my wife, and buy a home.

I’ve spent the past fifteen years leading environmental efforts in both non-profit and for-profit organizations: I've worked on the ground restoring habitats in Haiti, I led teams monitoring urban tree canopy, and most recently, I secured a deal that protected 400,000 acres of forest on the East Coast, the biggest forest easement of its kind in the last 40 years. I’ve also served on the Sierra Club Executive Committee (Northern Alameda County Group), helping to support local environmental policies. Now, I’m running for City Council to help continue Berkeley’s progress.

Ross’s Priorities

I’ll fight for more housing at all income levels, to address our homelessness and affordability crises. I’ll plant more trees and advocate for open space at Golden Gate Fields. I’ll support our first responders and fix our streets and sidewalks so it’s safe to walk, bike, or roll. I’m committed to keeping our community safe and welcoming for everyone.
